Appeal after serious assault in Lincoln

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a man in his 40s was assaulted between 4.20pm and 4.30pm on Wednesday 13 May 26.  The assault is reported to have happened nearby the allotments off Witham Close, near to the cycle path that runs north along the River Witham from Rookery Lane, Lincoln. The man in his 40s was taken to hospital with injuries described as serious.

Two men, aged 41 and 29, have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and remain in custody.

We are appealing for anyone who was in the area of the incident and saw or heard anything that maybe connected to get in touch.
